Artist - Part 5 - My Studio

When I was in college I remember seeing one of my prolific instructor’s studio… it was small, very small and that really surprised me. At the time he was exhibiting in a very prestigious New York gallery. I would of thought he would have been grandiose but I realized back then something important, it isn’t the studio, your eccentricities, or the big sales that make you a visual artist, it’s the pieces you create and the learning process that help you create that are paramount.

Now, my studio is only 5x11 and that also contains easels, tv and computer setup. It would be nice to have a bigger studio but to what end? Store more props and raw material? My materials and learning are more important than the space in my life.
